 Мета: активізувати вивчену лексику, відпрацювати фонетичні звуки, розвивати інтерес до мови, пам'ять, увагу, уяву, виховувати повагу до оточуючих.

Обладнання: картки з лексикою, картки для знайомства.

1.    Greeting

     Good morning, dear children! I’m very glad to see you at our competition. You’ve learnt a lot and today you’ll show the level of your knowledge.

 2. Warming- up              

In order to divide you honestly in two teams you’ll draw a word. If it belongs to the topic “Classroom” you’ll be in the first team. If the word is from the topic “ My Flat” you’ll go to the team number 2.

 3. Main Part

   I. The first task is “Who Is the Quickest In Translating?”

     You have to translate as many words into English as possible. You have one minute. If you don’t know the word just say “Go on”. One word-one point.

Shakespeare and others; tests on papers "The British Quiz"; cards with the text about W. Shakespeare and R. Kipling; a tape-recorder, a cassette with the text about London; a cross­word.

Today we're having an unusual holiday "English with fun"

It's a great pleasure and a great honour for me to open it.

OK. Let's start. Dear boys and girls, our best pu­pils.

You've already learnt much about Ukraine, English-speaking countries, their cities, main holidays, famous people and now you can prove your knowledge of English.

So, we have2 teams. Each team consists of 10 players. Each team has its own table. I wish you good luck and let's start.
